welding the radiator
Here's a question for you guys...my two top radiator mounts broke off can these be welded back on. They are the two top one's on the top of the radiator right in the middle???

sure..its just aluminum...prolly need to be tigged....take it to a local fab shop...prolly wont cost much.

local radiator shop does work for me . unless it is complex one hour turnaround and those tabs on a busa with the rad pulled 10.00 and painted black

hey Busakiller, Roger just welded mine back on, it was broke too,a dn my bike was never crashed, only dropped on its side one time....

I had a hole in mine from a bolt. they fixed it and it has been used for 2 years with no problems!

my local shop must be a bunch o' morons because when I tried to have them weld up a small pin hole in the fin area they just kept making the hole bigger and in the end they said "we can't do it".
Had to have them cut out the 3 top fins and tubes and weld up the holes.
fuckin' morons.

hey BA, we arent talking about holes in the fin area, we aretalking about the brackets that bolt the radiator in the bike....

I dig what you're saying HDL. I would just think that a shop that is familiar with welding ALUMINUM would know their limitations instead of jacking up an expensive radiator and making it worse.
I was just adding my pain to Mike's post about the bolt. Didn't mean to go OT. 
Of course, I don't know jack about welding, so I'm just venting anyway! lol!
