Where to get matching stock paint?

I have a blue 12 which Kawi calls "Candy Thunder Blue" and no dealer or body shop can get the matching paint for the stock color on the bike.

I have some fiberglass parts I want to add to the bike as well as some minor body work but I need matching paint....

Anyone know of where or how to get this stuff?

The body shop tried calling Kawi and all they could get from them was the touch-up paint...which is hardly enough for painting...

Call Colorite 1-800-358-1882. there in PA and usually ship out the same day you call them. they'll ask what year model and color is the bike. they have all the paint codes and anything else you need. same people that make the factory paint for kawasaki....i think.

Fuck the bull shit call me and I will get you some and mail it to you. ICI Autocolor has it along with a complete motorcycle line of colors and I can get it, I have sprayed it a couple of times on a ZX6 and a 12 and it is a silver base with a blue candy over that and then clear coat. I even have some in my garage, not much though, left over from the last one. I will say caution though. It is one of the most difficult colors I have ever sprayed. It does NOT need to be aplied by a rookie. If you want some e-mail me with how much you need and I will get you a price. It will be about 10-20 percent off of retail. brettsbikeworks@bellsouth.net

OK! Color wrong is becoming Color Rite again! The problem was the plant in PA Did not use -1, -2, & -3 for their paint bases and colors and California did. My Paint came from PA! For the above Muck up, they sent me a "CASE" of paint of the correct colors. I sent an e-mail to them on Friday and on "Sunday" the guy in charge in California called me and sent me paint from PA, but with all of the right color codes. I got the paint Tuesday.

The company is changing, the Owners are back in charge, 1 in CA and the other in PA. They know what they did and are serious about getting their Rep back. I "KNOW" I was Pissed (to say the least), but no company I have dealt with has ever done more to attempt to make me happy than they did.

If I was going to paint it myself, I would give them another shot! If they mess up, please tell me and I will communicate with them (and we all know that no one wants to hear from me

About 2 cans of primer, 2 cans of Base 1 can of green 1 can of purple 2 cans of clear (Not 2 full cans, but 1 was just short on primer and Base and about 1.5 in clear) I used about 1/2 can of Purple so the real paint total is about 5 cans of paint and they sent me 12 (for my trouble)

Holy shit..........lmfao..........are you guys using spray bombs? The stuff you get from me is real paint, needed to be applied with a spray gun and a air compressor and in a paint booth (you know applied the same way the factory does). I have matched every 12 color including the candies, along with any other motorcycle color I have worked on. Matching and applying paint is what I do for a living 17years long. I can asure you it will match if I paint it,and have a finish better then factory or your money back.

i got a shitty match from Colorwrong in PA, so I bought another set of paint (not bombs) from Colorwrong in CA, had it shot professionally and it was different alright, but also wrong. Fuk colorwrong.

they sent you a bunch of paint, VH, but lemme guess what it'll look lake when applied. grrrrrrrrr... good luck!

next time i'll have crashtech do it!!!

Look at the following picture. Using Spray Cans, I either painted the front section or the side panel of the fairing! Please tell me which?

This is the same ColorRite I "NOW" Have in the spray cans and will make the tail section look exactly the same! Please also remember that this is a highly varried paint color even from the factory!

its hard to paint just one panel and get it to match the rest. The sun does a good job of fainting paint.......
