Horrors of RACE TECH I have been going through hell with Race Tech. First they double ship my order and double bill me for the front fork kits. Then Harry sends his shock to them to rebuild for me. They loose it and claim to never recieve it. Finally after about $30 in phone calls, they say they found it. It was Harry's fault for not writing his or my name outside the box. A LIE!
Harry had his name and mine all over the box. Then they blame it on their reciever. "he took the shock out and just put a plain tag on it.
I finally get the shock yesterday and plug is missing from the back.
What the Fuck.
BEWARE they are really Jerk Offs.
I held back til now, but screw those guys.

Fuck RaceTesticle! I put the address that the shock was shipped from (mine) and the address it was to be shipped to ( Lube's) in PERMANENT marker on th upper left hand of the box. They told Lube there was no return address on the box. Go to the post office and try to ship something without a return address!
I also put in large letters attn: (whatever that stupid basdards name was) after RaceDick!
They recieved it on 19 dec and tried to tell Lube they never recieved it.And it sounds like they left off the silver cap on the resivoir of the shock. They are about some stupid halfassed mother fuckers.

Egads! I was getting ready to send them my forks, but now I'm not so sure! No return address on the box? Yeah right! What fuckin' ever! Maybe you guys would have better luck if ya'll had packed it with about 5 lbs. of SUGAR (or some other form of "white powder")! I bet they'd REMEMBER that package then, eh? I'm sure that this is NOT the "norm" for RaceTech, but having some worthless dickweek in their shipping dept., doesn't bode well for the company's reputation.
As for having the cap on the shock, I wouldn't sweat it too much. When I had my 7R's shock recharged, we had to basically destroy it to get it out. It's not like the cap unscrews or anything like that. Technically, KHI says that the shock can not be recharged. Well DUD! Not with that damn cap on it! What really sucks is that it's not like you can order that cap by itself. When it comes to the rear shock, there's just one part number... the whole damn shock. Spring and all!
Anyway, I didn't have any problems with road debris getting in that area. I just kept a plain ole plastic tire valve stem cap on the stem and went from there.

My bud had the same problem with his 9R. They kept saying "next week". He's happy with the results but had to resort to threats to get delivery. Told them he had a non-refundable track school scheduled and the stuff had better be here! He got it. Made a big difference too.

I never delt directly with racetech. I have had PK Suspension in framingham mass do work for me before thou.
They are a race tech distributor/dealer. They are also a GMD computrack center.
They were great to deal with.

cap I got a freeze out plug to install on the back of the shock. I think you hit it on the head. They have no planning and probably the big customers get priority. So you have to muscle them to get work through. Best to just order the parts and do it yourself. I'm doing the forks this weekend. Oh, make sure they don't double ship and bill you. Lies aren't the way to do. Just be honest and straight shoot the customers.
