ya.. richard.. I agree.. but you have to remember that 95% of PC failure on 12R's are cable routing related...

first thing to do is disconnect PC... next thing to do would be to dump error codes (if any) logged in the ECU.

That's a starhttp://www.gophercontrols.com/BeforeAfterlenes.jpgting point.

Harry and HDL.... I think you've misunderstood.I havent said anything that I havent said in the past.....

Understand this: the "problem" with PC3's is NOT the PC3... it's an "end user" problem...

read: install/incorrect wire routing issues.

If the wire isnt routed correctly and it gets pinched, the unit fails.. that's not the PC3's fault. The units theselves ARE NOT to blame. We've gone over this several times. All it takes in one wheelie landed hard to crush or pinch an incorrectly routed wire and the unit shorts out. This is a fact.

Best thing to do is to route the cable in the cable chase on the left side of the bike.

Fish, I had this problem twice! Even Dave in Daytona saw it. My wires were not near anything and in "MINT" condition. When I Spoke to DynoJet, "They" said that 95% of the problem was the Wires needed to be Sheilded and the new PC's have a "LOT" heavier wires and there is shielding wrapped around them also. I know that this is your Board, but you are not 100% correct this time!

Well... I would disagree with you... I have had discussions about the PC "failures" at lenght with our contact at DJ. Your harness can look "fine" on the outside, but the truth is land one wheelie too hard and it can crush it inside... Will look fine on the outside...

but hey... this is the internet... believe whatever you want ... I've given you the info.. you can do whatever you want with it.
