Ahhh Dave.......

Dave,
Some good eye level shots from both sides of the bike would be cool. I know you have a pretty good eye for pictures from viewing several of your post so anything that you think would give me a good idea of the overall look will be cool. My problem with must huggers is the area where the hugger and chainguard come together. If memory serves me right the hans hugger has the others beat in this area IMHO. Also the other huggers seem to cover up too much of the tire and wheel on the sides, and I'm thinking Hans' doesn't. Since my wheels have the edges polished I'd like for as much of them to show as possible.

If you want to e-mail them to me rather than post them send them to ninjaman@cableone.net

I appreciate it a lot Dave, I know you've got a Red (Best damned color) 12 too, that will really give me a good idea of how it would look on my bike. Also, do ya remember what you paid for it? Thanks again.

See if this give you an idea. Forgive the dirt, I rode 250 miles on Sunday and haven't washed it yet.

$277.99 with shipping is what shows on my account. Check with Hans I'm sure it's better now.

You're the man Dave..........

Thanks a lot man. Those pics are super, and show me what I needed to know. I think that is the hugger for me. Any installation bugs???? Fitment pretty good? Any minor tweaks needed to make it fit right?

Thanks again.

You making it to the Gap in May???

I had some slight issues, and yes I have pictures of the problems too. I took them after I talked to Hans, he wanted to see them. It took me about 3 minutes with a dremel to fix the bugs and you can't tell that there was an issue after it was installed.

I originally bought a NWS, had it on and hated it. The weave was a tiny pattern and didn't match anything. The cut over the tire was not even when you looked at it from the rear which bothered me too. It really looked cheap compared to the Hans piece.

I'm planning on being back at the Gap, I'm really looking forward to it.

Dave

Thanks....

Well as long as it can be cured with a Dremel I ain't sweatin' it. That just means it's even more of a custom piece.
My guess is you had to maybe ream some of the holes out for alignment??? Any actual trimming involved?

BTW do you have Hans' other carbon pieces? (Tank panel, ram air covers)

Yes, slight hole alignment problems. I had to oval 2 holes to make it work right and it wasn't much work at all. I have all the other pieces too, ashtray and ram air covers, they went right on without issue. They look the same today and when I got them almost a year ago.

Mine Too.......

Yeah my carbon pieces look just as good now as they did when I got them. I had to ream out the holes in my tank panel a little bit to make it align straight in the tank cover.

I fired hans and e-mail to get a current price and see if he's got one in stock. I'll more than likely be getting one pretty soon but I wanna get this undertail project outta the way first. I'm anxious to see how it turns out.

I like the undertail idea, but living here in the land of the blue hairs I figure the bigger the signals the better. I also ride with a few people with integrator kits and no real signals and I can't see them blink at all. If I was going to get one it would probably be this one, but that red hugger is uuuuuuuuugly.

Red Hugger.....

Yeah that hugger looks like crap IMHO. I like the undertail though. I'm really anxious to get the one I ordered from Robert. So far I like the look of it better than any I've seen. I think it, combined with Hans' hugger would be a pretty good combo.

I hear ya on the blue hairs too, I hope these rear signals are as bright as Robert says they are. I'm dig the look, but I want functionality as well.

Ninjaman12R...I have the HANS HUGGER as well on my green 12R...it looks good with DINO's undertail/trunk mods...I opted to use the stock turns sigs with DINO's custom bracketry...it pulls it in real close to the tail...I'm all for my sigs being seen by other motorists on the road...DINO's black beauty has his own smaller custom sigs mounted on a custom panel right below the tail-light...I had no problem seeing his turning intentions...DINO!

I think it's new........

I'm pretty sure I see the stripe around the tire.

Sharp hugger man, no doubt Hans' products are the shit.

Re: Tire...

Ya! The tire is brand new. There was actually about an inch of snow on the ground when I took that picture. No riding for me till about April. -ZXtra

It's on it's way......

Just got off the phone with Hans and my Hugger is on the way.

This means I have a Hans C/F chainguard for sale. Mint condition, about a year old. Can e-mail pics of it if anyone is interested.
