full 4-2-1Hindle stepped race system

My 1361 is making 212 RWHP w/a full Acro system. Would a full 4-2-1 Hindle stepped race system make more?

megabyte,
i do think you'd get a lil more hp here & there but no dramatic increases. You seem to have a really strong motor, i wouldn't screw with a good thing if I were you.

No the Hindle won't make more power. Look into the Muzzys Pro pipe with that setup.

Bergie, Isn't the "Pro-Pipe's main advantage in the power it makes at "Higher" than normal RPM? (Which you need to change the rev limiter to also use). I do not think he is spinning the engine 12 and 13,000 rpms nor do I think he wants to?

I would think Brock Davidson's alterations in the Hindle would work better that the standard Step tube. Also I think the Regular Muzzy Pipe would be better than the Pro-Pipe?

Hi Vincent, Muzzy has twice advised me not to use their pro pipe unless I raise my RPM limiter. Also, I've read, heard, and seen, so much positive data on the Hindle, that I'm really wondering if I could make enough more HP with it to justify the expense ? BTW, Where would I order Brock Davidson's Hindle ?

Thanks,

Thanks, Brock's pipe is expensiveI would get a Step Hindle from DOug at Spencer Cycle and remove the Divider plate in the collector (After you test it with it in place. That way if it was better, just get another collector)! Then you will have 99% of Brocks Pipe. The only difference then would be the .25" larger outlet on the muffler! If I had to hazzard a guess, The Best possible increase would be up to 220 Hp. My bet is that it would mostlikely be 215 to 216 HP

Reember I gained 10 HP over the Akra but with you bike so close to the limit, 3 to 5 HP would be "BIG"!

I believe Tim's bike had a Muzzys Pro pipe and cams when it went consecutive 208+ MPH runs naturally aspirated at Maxton. No other pipe has done that yet on a 12R without nitrous or boost.
