Arata Full Ti Exhaust Pics - As promised

A few to start with - more later or tomorrow.

Collector - note it's a 4-2-1. Ain't it pretty?

#2 header pipe. Note the there's only one weld. Makes an Akro look ugly.

Taper section of the #2 header pipe. The hardware is anodized aluminum, I think....

Keeper springs, still in the package. They appear to be very heavy-guage.

"Main" pipe - note that it's tapered and welded in two places.

That's it for now.

For those that might be curious, the pictures were taken with a Sony DSC F707 digital camera, under flourescent garage lighting with a lot of indirect natural light, and help from the camera flash. The pictures were taken at 3.2 megapixels and downsampled in Corel Photopaint to 30% of original size, with no corrections.

No time to install the system yet. Mothers Day and all. I'll probably get it put on next weekend, and I'll have more photos to share then.

So?? What is new here?? Just like I said, the welding on the pipe makes the Akra look sloppy and it is be best "Looking" Pipe I have ever seen. Even better is the 4-2-1 Design with a smooth collector. My only problem (Really) with the pipe is, I would have to keep the lowers off the bike so I could see it all of the time!

Now if it makes power and has a reasonable noise level, it will go to the head of the class!

Arata

Well I have to disagree.. I so happen to have my AKR hanging in the garage waiting to be installed and I took a close look at the "sloppy welds" ..Looks not different than Arata. Actually looks like Arata polished the weld seams a little. The welds on the Akr are identical. It's going to be interesting to see the Hp/Torque gains from the pipe.

Quite right, Vincent - you've said it before. I am just offering the photographic evidence!

For comparison, here's a picture of an Akro Evo...it looks a bit cruder by comparison.

Actually the Akra Welds are hand (At least they were) made and the Arata is machine except fot the spring hangers. Plus, the Arata is not ground at the welds, but it may be polished!

I don't remember saying that Arata ground the welds..I actually said that it looked like they polished the welds. As for the photo of the AKR pipe..mine doesn't look like that. Vince I know yours didn't look like that either.

But not to be a Pipe Hater and not to steal your thunder....That is a nice looking pipe congrads, can't wait to see the results!!!!!
