Too much braking power now!

Aaaah my brakes are too good now...After 18k miles on the stock setup of my 12, I finally upgraded/overhauled the entire braking system on my 12 and wow oh wow!

For the front, new EBC HH brake pads, EBC ProLite UK rotors, Muzzy stainless steel brake lines, and some snazzy lookin purple DOT 5 brake fluid. For the rear, just replaced the bads with some EBC HH brake pads.

The machine stops now almost too good. It's prolly cause I have to relearn how to apply braking. One finger is all that is needed, if even that. Yesterday, the weather was well above 80 degrees, and the DOT 5 kept the fluid good, the brakes were good, slowing down was hella good.

So any negatives to worry about with DOT 5 in the cold weather out of curiosity?

I would not use a "Pure Silicone" brake fluid. I would use Dot 5.1 which is a high boiling point regular fluid. The problem with Dot 5, is there is nothing eating at your seals. This means that you will have 100% full brakes and then one day have 0% of nothing! Lever to the bar and no pump up! That is why they do not allow it in racing anymore (This is my personal knowledge as of early 1990's)
