It wasn't me officer! Geez...after finishing my victory lap with getting that last outlandish speeding ticket dismissed, well another incident happens..but this time I was not at fault.
I was out riding yesterday through Lewiston, ID with six other sport riders. We came around this blind turning frontage road, I see a group of Idaho state troopers on the side of the road and continue on, going about 30 or so through a 25 zone...bike was overheating at that point because we were stuck in stop and go contsruction traffic for nearly 20 mintues, and I was running on just fumes, needed gas bad!
I pulled off to the gas station, while my friends continued on (I was going to catch up with them in a few)...pulled behind the gas station in the shade, got off the bike, degeared, and I sat.
Ten minutes later...
4 state troopers with lights flashing surround the back of the gas station and was OVERLY AGGRESSIVE towards me...I didnt admit to anything cause I didnt do anything wrong, and they said I was "racing a motor vehicle on a public highway" and wanted to know where my friends went. They said were letting me off with a wreckles driving citation and they gave me a pending no insurance ticket.
Wreckless is a required court date in Idaho, and a gross misdermeanor with 5 days of jail on top of that. Lawyer is going to be 950 buckaroos, not good! I did nothing wrong, victim of circumstance, there were SOOOO many bikes out that day.
I dont think they have a case on me, since they never actually pursued, kept line of sight on me, flashed lights to pull me over. They thought I was "hiding" from them behind the gas station. Geez...this sucks! Speeding would be a worse off infraction to fight in court because the system only needs "preponderance of evidence" whereas a wreckless is the ole innocent until proven guilty, err at least thats what we were taught in grade school...
Screw Idaho and driving in it ever again...aaah the summer has just begun too, and I'm averaging a ticket per month already...

i had a similar (tho less serious) thing happen to me beans. i disputed the ticket and they dropped it before it even went to court. course, that's a whole different legal system so i doubt it has much bearing on ur situation. but i cant imagine they can enforce that if they didnt even have line of sight fer goodness sake. u know what the shitty part is, is even if u win ur case in court, ur still out $950. they should award u expenses in such cases. woudl help keep overzealous cops in line perhaps. i'v met too many of those myself it's a good thing i know good cops like our very own wormy to keep my image of the police positive

Beans, Last summer I got a improper passing from an off duty deputy, no "line of sight", out of state, written 10 DAYS after the incident, waited 4 more days and mailed it 6 days before the court date, come home from Sturgis to find myself in contempt for not showing. And I didn't even hafta sign shit. Even my local cop friends and neighbors, I have both, thought it was extreem.
Good luck. Mine was $175 and 3 points.
EDIT: FWIW dont pass any 25 in a 45 zone slow movin kickin up shoulder gravel station wagons with a boat on the roof in rural Wisconsin if there's a double yellow.

That's a rough one. Better stay off your bike for a while until you get it cleared up. Do you have a bicycle?
Oh yea and that rock you threw up from that 200 meatstick you call a tire put a quarter sized bruise on my bicep. Now I know why the call them B-stones.

I let him ride out front. He likes to be the first one to speak with the police. He is pretty smooth that way. Just kidding bro. He's a mad man on the big blue monster.
