Raked triple tree!
i am looking for a source of raked triple trees or where the parts to rake the front can be found.

I don't recommend raked trees. Have someone do the frame insted. But APE offers raked trees if you gotta have one.

They tend just to change the offset, not the rake. Leaves the chassis compromised by altering the trail numbers.

Jessz1, could you please ellaborate further about the chassis compromise, because i keep hearing that it makes the bike more stable in straight line.......i am only thinking straight line too.

I have the offset tree's on my 485 hp busa. I wouldn't trade them in for nothing. They handle the bike just fine.

If it was a dragbike only, I wouldn't be too scared. Why would you want to spend 700.00 dollars when you can do the frame for 400? A friend of mine has an older gixxer with raked trees on it and it was OK going straight. Turns where very scary. It would not find center anymore and was darty in the curves. This was a slamed dragbike so it wasn't like I was hauling ass either! Lots of other people also do not recommend them. Suzukihahabusa.org had a good thread on them not to long ago. Check it out.

I never use my busa on the stip. Most highway riding with my girl. I have never had a problem with the offset and the reason I went with them instead of a rake is because I can go back stock at any time and sell it. It will be easier to sell a stock bike then a raked bike. Just my 2 cents.

I guess if you have the money for the raked triple tree its a must!!! Even if you have a 300HP Busa or ZX12, what the hell is a raked fork going to do??? But hey what do I know, I dont even have any power tools!!!
