Dumb question about rear axle
Hey it took me a hell of a time to get that codder pin out of the rear axle that comes through the swingarm so the pin is hella bent right now, just didnt come out easy at all.
Currently, I am riding with no pin, is that a hazard to worry about? Will any codder pin replacement work or should I order a Kawi one for that bike?
Also, if the adjusters for the rear wheel were never moved when taking the rim off, do I still need to measure both sides to make sure they are perfect?
Thanks.

I use a clip pin for the rear axle so I can reuse it many times. Yes you need a cotter pin any kind will work (stainless steel won't rust though).
The marks you are referring to were quite a bit off on my original 12 ,so measuring would be a good idea.

Dino told me to measure yourself and not to go by the marks on the swingarm at all. My concern was since those adjuster bolts were never moved, then the rear tire should sit in the exact same spot as before. Am I wrong to think that?

just put something through that hole.....so the nut doesnt back off.....I ALWAYS measure my adjustment instead of using the lines on the swing arm...rarely are they correct.....

clip pin or cotterpin from lowe's home depot will work. plus they're cheaper than factory ones. measure the axle bolt on both sides. set up a friends twelve with the marks and the tire ended up not being aligned.
