1270 or 1375 with spray
why do more people spray the 1270,1290and 1320's than 1361, 1375 or 1425's? Are there concerns about the welded crank, or cost? would the 1375 stand up to a 100 hp shot?

Any sound motor will handle 100hp of nitrous if done correctly. Just avoid detonation.

I spray a 70 shoot on a stock motor and have gone up to 80 on it. A 100 shot should be a walk in the park

My Plans are to spray a 150 shot of NOS next month at Maxton. I am using special pistons with a stock bore and std crank!

johnnycheese, That's very impressive .
care to share any details on that nitrous setup.
wet or dry, jets, timing, fuel, kit brand?
I know it's probably wet, but you know what happens when you assume.

Ran an 80 shot on a completely stock motor for quite some time...still runs perfect...just getting a bit faster now.
I dont see why a 100 shot on a built motor would be a problem.

saying it was dry is misleading.
it did not have a solenoid or fuel jets..but I was adding additional fuel in other ways.

what size jets did you use to get 120 hp,
What year bike, and did you upgrade the fuel pump?
how much timing retard.
No good dyno close, so i need to get close from the start.
The start may be where i stay, as i don't want to get to close to the edge

Here's my little 160hp 1109 motor on 29N/24G with 12 degrees taken out, running C-12, at around 5 psi fuel pressure. This got me to 8.80s and 165mph. -Dean

Wow, nice little boost in hp.
165mph is flying.
12 degrees of timing, never would have thought that.
how did you come up with that setup, dyno?

The Dyna 2000 ignition has settings for 4,8,12 & 16 degrees of retard, and I was playing it safe. I could've gotten away with 8, but it doesn't make much difference in power.

No typo - NX piranha nozzles atomize fuel more efficiently than NOS nozzles, run the reverse in terms of spread. I started with 29N/26G but it was way fat.

I don't know ninja12. Certainly it is not the best way to set up a nitrous motor. Keep the tuneup safe and tell us how long it lasts.
