What to use to clean up the Ti can

My Yosh Titanium can has a few (ahem) scratches on it and I wanted to buff them out. I know when I bought the pipe it came with an abrasive cloth that worked great but I lost it. I need to know what is equivalent to that, say 320 grit sandpaper? Scothbright pad maybe? What do you recommend?

I think so too. I have three different kinds at home I use for woodworking, the grey, white and green. I guess I just test in on a small area and see which one works.

Is yours a Dull finish or polished? For Polished, what Psycho said. For Dull, what Ninjaman said, but I would also consider a mild cleanser!

Scotchbrite would be best, Emery cloth would be about as abrasive as I would go. to start out. then work your way up. Stay away from sandpaper period.

I know the Blue Scotchbrite pads are soft, Red is Medium. Brown is course, I know Chris these are different colors than what you say you have. But I have never seen the gray or white. I have seen the green but We don't use it much on Alum, Ti, Steel, I think I seen the green under the wifes sink for dirty pots and pans, and stainless sink So I think that would be classified as soft

If I was gonna take some scratchs out, I would go for the red pads first, Hardware store sells em, Cheap, Be carefull not to rub to long or hard in one spot. Rub the entire general area and try and blend it all in.

Doubtfull you will get scratch out, Without a power tool. Ti is hard. and more than likely it will discolor, Some have coatings applyed and you take the coating off and its discolored from rest of pipe,

Get some red scotchbrite and rub the inside of cann, Where nobody can see it. See how it looks, The red pads will not scratch, But I don't know if your cann has a coating applyed to surface.

Hope I did'nt confuse

If it was Alum you take a spoon and push materal back into scratched out area, Lost art there, Old timer from Eastern Airlines showed me that one. But Ti is too damm hard to push with spoon.

Mine Ti is polished and I've found Flitz, by hand, to be about the best.
