Carbon Cleanup

My engine stumbles @ 9k rpms and won't even hit the rev-limiter. I believe this was caused by 2 gallons of Nutec and not running hard/hot enough. Anyway, any ideas on how best to get rid of the carbon build up in the engine and plugs? Someone said run a couple tanks of regular gas. Are there additives that will do the job?

Thanks,

proper amounts of water will help clear carbon. Maybe sitting still with the tank up you could dribble some in..... ie. down a straw or something. turkey baster maybe.

or, there is stuff called Marvel Mystery Oil. It does work, despite the goofy name.
I am NOT sure that it's good for Fuel Injection though! Great for carbureted engines.

I'm sure someone else will have better info for ya......

PCiiir is ok but ?

I think my PCiiir is ok. I ran two tanks of gas w/FI additive, and she revs to redline quite nicely if it's a short pull, and the power is back. However, I still believe I have a fuel problem because she stumbles @ high rpms when I am doing a long pull @ full throttle. I don't know if it's a fuel line, my muzzy fuel pump or what. I'll let you know when I find out.
Appreciate any ideas, Thanks

Mine stumbled at high rpm when it was running very rich as well.

Had to take fuel outta the upper ranges of the map till it went away.

Guys- I don't want to shamelessly advertise, but Green Mamba makes some stuff called nitroe that I tried in my 12 (as per his instructions) - it worked GREAT, really evened out the bike. The stuff is citrus based I think and it cleans carbon and crap out of the engine. Mamba is a fellow '12 owner and a great guy to deal with. Do a search on his threads - if you can't find any info post up here and I'll see if I can dig up his e-mail. There are even some online vids of him applying the stuff to his own (2000 green) 12 .

Yamaha makes "Ring free" that cleans carbon out by running it in your gas.

I saw what it can do, its good stuff!
