I flew in my buddies ultralight yesterday He is a friend I met while stationed at RAF weathersfield in england. He lives in tampa.
He has a maxair drifter 2 place with a rotax 912 ul and it's on full lotus floats.
He keeps it at lake seminole. We took off after igniting the JATO rockets to get my big ass airborne and flew over the lake for awhile. I flew for awile and it handled pretty good.We came back over this bridge at a little over 500 agl and he put it into a slip to loose altitude .It would have scared a lot of people as it drops really fast and then flared out for the landing. But I expected him to do it.I have a pilots liscence and learned to do slips so it was ok with me.I had a lot of fun.

few people here realize that harry is quite the prolific pilot. he is particularly well known and valuable as a balloon operator as he serves a dual purpose role, supplying both the hot air and ballast

I went to sun-n-fun in lakeland fla today to the aircraft homebuilders event they have there every year. I saw a lot of awesome airplanes. I took a camera but didn't take any pictures. I gave the camera to someone to take pics when I went flying with my friend darin but they spaced out and didn't take any!
I parachuted one time for a birthday present. It was something I had already wanted to do.Everything was going good till I hit the ground. I hit reallly hard (and incorrectly) and fucked up my back. That was the beginning and end of my skydiving career. The instructor had us jumping off a chair to practice landing. When I went up to give him my parachute after landing I said to him "you know that chair you had us jumping of of?" and he said yes I said "you should have had us jump off a fuckin 2 story building cause that would have been more realistic!" ____________

Very cool. One day I would like to start flying again, of course they would have to lower the hourly rate at my club again, and I don't see that happening anytime soon.
