Sorry for bringing back this thread, guys. I was just thinking about the fact that I have made over a hundred passes down the dragstrip, and I haven't even bothered to check my spark plugs yet. I was going to post a new thread but decided on searching through old threads first. I'm glad I did. I don't feel so bad now about not checking my plugs.

Before I forget, can someone explain to me what the heat ratings on the spark plugs mean? Does that mean the temperature that the plugs give off or the temperature that they can withstand?

its basically how much heat the plug will dissipate between firing...controlled by the ceramic insulator below/around the tip.
