Sato Full Ti
Well got talked into trying a set of Sato full Ti pipes. The welds and the bends are a thing of art. I told Dan at Kyle racing i was not sure i would like the performance or sound of the pipe. Started to to say No, then he threw in a deal i could not pass up. TRY em , and If you Dont like em, I will refund your purchase. I couldnt say "No". What do i have to lose other than dyno time? Any comments?
I will post pics of the uninstalled system tomorrow.

Ok heres a question to all you experianced modifiers and pipe testers.
This is the second set of aftermarket , so- called performance pipes i have bought ( and as of now still have my stock exhaust still on) and find when i look in the pipes there are ridges where the pieces are welded together. This set of pipes are baby ass smooth on the outside. Now i dont have much experiance in bike exhaust flow, but on hot rod headers we always deburred anything on the inside the headers to assure good flow. Does this not matter as much on these headers. If I paid this much for a set of hot rod headers i would be screaming if they werent smooth on the inside. Did any of you have to clean up your pipes before installation?

I just bought a Hindle race pipe and I went through and deburred and radiused the sharp edges. Unfortunately, the pipe is not installed yet, so I have no results (dyno or seat of the pants). My big question is: will a carbide cutter in a die grinder cut the titanium of the pipe?

Isn't that the same thing as carbide?

A carbide rotary file will cut titanium.Use a fine cut burr and not a coarse one for aluminum.

Sato makes very nice pipes. There should be no ridges on the inside. Your hotrod experiences are still in full affect. It does make a difference.

Yes They sure look sweet and are light as hell. I E-mailed Sato direct last night about the ridges( and i must say i am picky, cause the ridges are no more than a 1/16") and this morning i got an E-mail for Kyle racing telling me to return them. Sato actually forewarded my response to thier supplier, which i did not specify where i bought em. That i must say is great response time for a corp customer service Dept. By the way Kyle racing did state, and i quote, "By the way the slight internal imperfections will not make any difference.
Dan Kyle"
He is entitled to his opinion, dont have a problem with that, although i think flow characteristics prove that wrong.
But I just love it when a company is willing to stand by its products, that is integrity and worth paying for.
