Question on performance gains for the 12R

Trying to decide what to do next to the 12R, since I've decided not to buy a 10R.

I already have an Arkapovic racing exhaust, power commander, 1 less tooth on the front sprocket, and K&N filters on it. Thinking about going 1 more tooth in the rear sprocket and changing out the brakes. Question is would it be more benefical to go with some Mag rims or put that money into a larger engine?

well if you've got the spank for the rims I think that'd be a great upgrade.

More all-around gains than engine work! You'd benefit in acceleration, braking and cornering!

Depends on how much of a money pit you want.
A 47 on the rear is a nice change and puts the wheel all the way at the front of the axle adjuster with the stock chain.
Wheels will be a huge gain.
How much did you have to spend?

You'll spend less on a set of Marchesinis than the Akro, and you'll get the benefit of those lighter wheels every single minute you ride the bike.

Well I'm hoping to keep the total cost under 2K, but might be able to cough up a bit more. How much weight savings will I get with the mag wheels? I saw one post for a RC-51 and it looked like about 12 pounds. Anyone have any suggestions on who I should go with or any websites that I can read up on it?

How about "Fun" with your bike? Add a 50 shot Dry NOS Kit and all you need to do if you plan to use it is go up on the high rpm button on the PC3r and whip that Busa to death. (About $500 total spent) Ohlins Rear SHOCK? About $900 Dealer and will really give you a great ride. Comfort? Get the Schnitz adjustable Billet top clamp and be 1.5 inches Higher up and easier on the hands. Last a Corbin "Yell at them " to make the foam with more air to be softer and you have spent 2K and have a great riding bike with about 225 HP on tap and no lower back ache!

Never been a big fan of NOS. Prefer to have the HP gains all the time (turbo or bigger engine) instead of when I hit a button. Might have to take a look at the Ohlins rear shock, but I don't have many problems with comfort. Can ride mine for 6+ hours and by then my joints are hurting anyways (old injures).

I'm with Vince. I've got a 40 shot dry NOS kit on my bike. Cheap horsepower and easy to install.
