Nice kryptonite chains etc... Reminds me of the kryptonite cables I had on a ZX-10 of mine years ago. I had the bike parked in the carport right outside my apartment. It was wedged between my car and the car next to mine and had a kryptonite cable ran through the frame and attached to the poll of the carport. Heck, even if the bike wasn't secured to the car port, it was situated in such a way that it was difficult to move without pulling my car out of the way - there was a side walk right in front of the parking spot, and on the other side of the sidewalk there was the apartment building. As the bike sat, the task of wedging the bike out of its spot looked like it would take some effort.
Long story short - one morning I came out to go to work and found the bike missing. The only thing that remained was my kryptonite cable lying there on the ground where my bike used to be. The cable was snapped in two like it was nothing. Funny thing was, my bike was parked not more than six feet away from my neighbor's bedroom window. When asked, my neighbor said he didn't hear a thing the night my bike disappeared. Of course it was his car that sat beside my car and bike - I always felt that he didn't like my parking arrangements and I've always wondered if he did have something to do with my bikes disappearance.
Anyway, these days, I don't rely much on kryptonite cables. I only use them as a last resort (anything is better than nothing) for when I need to park my bike in an unattended location for an hour or two (a situation that almost never happens). These days my ZX-12R is always stored in a garage or storage unit. About the only place I ever leave it unattended is at work, where it is constantly monitored by our security guards.

You Go Boy!!!!!
Congrats on the bike!!! I think you should of run that chain such that it ties both wheels together and through the frame and around the poll. Did you get one of those alarms that pages you when it goes off??? I hope your deterent/security measures are successful; they look like a real pain-in-the-ass to deal with even for you. Congrats again!!!

I have run the chain around the wheels and everything, but it only needs to be cut once anyway.
Does not page me when it goes off, but it is the most annoying alarm I have ever heard, and it is ear-splitting.
I'd rather not be paged so that I could go downstairs and get shot.

Actually, it was sitting on my dealer's floor since september...a company was demoing their alarms and my salesman volunteered the green 12 knowing mine was stolen and I would want an alarm(free alarm)
I checked on it every month to make sure it was still there...I had that 500 off coupon and Tuesday was the last day I could use it, so I picked it up.
They also have a silver one and a red one in a box in their warehouse.
