Is this right?
Put my muzzy clutch and basket in and this is what I end up with.
I have the arm pushed forward to take up the slop in the picture. It is so far back my cable is at the end of the adjustment. Have the cover off now and everything looks good. What do you think?

adjust the cable all the way the other way, and it should be fine.

It's not the cable adjustment I am worried about.It is the angle of the arm. To far away. Makes me wonder if I got the cover stabbed on right.

Yes It looks Okay. Here is a pic of one we did last week.Same thing--just adjust the cable as per instructions

Yours looks like it makes a bigger angle than Spencers, but I went and looked at mine and IT LOOKS JUST LIKE YOURS.  My "expert opinion " is that its fine.

It looks like the angle of the bracket that holds my cable to the case is at a different angle than spencers. Hmmmm....

Here is another picture. My lever is to far back causing the cable to be at a wierd angle. Everything looks good and works fine. Strange...

Here is mine!!
I went out in the garage and took a picture. I have the Muzzy clutch & basket as well. Installed by my Hubby!!! I do not have as much of a bend as you!!!

Very interesting. Anyone tried the 01' lever on a 00' ??? I hear the lever is "longer" for more leverage?

I tried it, and still have it in my garage (not on the bike) if anyone would like to buy it (cheap). I didn't like it because the pull was harder. I have a Muzzy kit and basket.
It was hard enough to make me curious, so I dug around my fishing gear and pulled out a spring scale I use for weighing fish: I used the scale to pull on the clutch (hand) lever with the stock00 clutch actuator lever installed, and then later with the 01.
00 lever = 13.5#
01 lever = 16.5#
go figure. I don't remember how many Muzzy springs , 3vs6, I was running then, but spring set up was same in any case.

u need to recheck that clutch dont let that go you will chew up the pull pin trust me on this one i know frist hand just ask blastic.

Already had it apart and checked the basket/ hub installation. Pretty hard to mess that up. Cover goes on OK also. Hoping Rob or Doug will post there .02

Maybe that's your problem.Take a picture of your basket through the oil fill hole and post it.

If you can...please take another picture through the oil fill hole that...shows the basket and pressure plate???
I'm curious what the stack height looks like...got any with the cover off???
(this is a stock basket)
Here's the 00 and 01 Levers...
...The Release Rods...the one on the left was in the motor with the "damaged 00 lever"...note the rounded edge on the close side of the tip...

I am getting ready to go to work but I will pull the cover off tonight if you need to see whats going on better. Looks like the pressure plate is in the same place as the one in your pictures above Kevin.

my stack height is the same as yours. With new plates the edge of the pressure plate is just about even with the top of the basket. If you have a problem so do I. However, my clutch works great...

I'm sure I have everything together right. It's not rocket scientist stuff. The stack height concerns me though because of the angle it puts my clutch lever at. Also not to much wear and it will bottom out. Wheres Doug at? I'd like to hear his coment on this. Is it differences in Kawi's tolerences? Or Muzzy's?

Bumpen her up. Where is Kevin? Kevin, Hello? What is your thoughts on my stack height? One or two millemeters and it will bottom out. Should I worry? Or run it.
