Exhaust weights

Just thought I'd post an FYI: I just pulled my stock exhaust off of my '01 12R and weighed it. My exhaust weighed 23.6 lbs including all of the hardware removed.

My new race Hindle weighed in at a total of 10.7 lbs including the 20" Ti can, all the pipes, and every spring in the bag.

That is a total loss in weight of 12.9 lbs and a gain of god knows how much horsepower. Gotta love it!!

Mine is a bit of a unique situation: I am going from a stock 1200 to a 1270 with the Hindle, power commander, and some head work. I wish I had the time to do this in stages, and then dyno for each stage, but that just can't happen at this point in time.

My stock exhaust weighed 24lbs.

The Akrapovic exhaust with carbon can weighed right at 11lbs.
