1/4 mile time on ZX12
What do you guys say should be the e/t's of a bone stock ZX 12. I ran my '04 the other night and only went a 10.34@ 136 had a good head wind though. I need to get used to it for sure, it had a tendancy to either bog or stand straight up which caused a 10.50 run. I way 175 suited. The strip is at 700 ft. Only made 3 passes. i was hoping for a 9.99 at least.
Remember I am speaking bone stock 18/46 gearing. not lowered or anything. Nada nothing zilch. (bone stock).

136 was your best mph? You probably need to shift abit sooner with the stock exhaust. You should be able to go 10.teens @ 140mph pretty easily.

My best bone stock without lowering, 100% stock with stock gearing and pipe was 9.89 @ 143, can you believe it's been four years ago now! That's 195 lbs in plain clothes, 5'11", footshifting. No mods.
Back to back 9.59s @ 148.99, 149.66 with just a Muzzys pipe and 17T front sprocket, no other mods. How's this for a blast from the past! Click on the link, scroll half-way down! Way back in Sept 2000!

I agree with ya TurboBlew, you can't run a stock exhaust up to redline, the power drops off way too quickly.
I'd shift it about 500-700rpm before redline. (guessing, as I try to remember what a stock dyno curve looks like!)
10.34 is not a bad time for someone who hasn't drag raced a bike a whole lot. With a few more trips, I'm sure you'll have your 9.99 on that bike.
Did you lower it in the front with a strap??

Sounds bout right for that elevation. Mine went 141 at 10 teens at 200ft. Headwinds can make mucho difference also.
