Extremelean?? New Answers!!
Extreme Lean, what is up with Kawasaki stating that you are not to leave the Jumper Cable on? The possibility of it shorting out and then Warranty Problems?
While I am at it, IS the "NEW" Stator Assembly for the 00 & 01 REALLY Leak proof? I have just raised Hell and have a real swarm of people actually listing this problem with NHSTA as opposed to talk and complain about it. It seems like quite a few people have had their wires repaired, only to leak again.
I did not want to Hijack Fish's thread so I posted a seperate thread.

Just heard from Kawasaki and my dealer. They have a new stator for me and #2, Kawasaki has extended my warranty for 2 months while all of this takes place. They also said that not the bike, but if the stator leaks again in a relative short period of time, they will take care of it. My thinking isif it makes it through this year (End of October) even though I will have gone no more than 1,000 miles) I will be OK! The last fix did not last 1300 miles or 1 year.
Did I mention that my 1988 A-7 SS 350, 1970 H-1 500, 1973 H-2 750 1979 KZ1000, 1984 900 Ninja (Which I still have) and my 1992 ZX11"Never" leaked a drop out of the ststor wires"? How did Kawasaki progress to this point??

My 1973 and 1975 Z1's, and 1984 900 Ninja puked. Simple fix with some silicone. My 2003 ZX12 didn't leak a drop, even though I got the recall notice. Just ignored it. No problems.

I have 4000 miles and did not take it in for the recall. Where can I look for oil? In the tail?

You guys were Blessed. I took my Stator off this weekend and what got me is I had to remove the top engine mount bolt to push down the spacer so the head of the Connector could come out. I also had 3 shock replacements by Kawasaki also. Two factory shocks and finally the Kawasaki amount on the dealer price of an Ohlins which I split the difference with the dealer. SO I paid $250 for my Ohlins Shock and have not complained since (That "HAD" to be worth something to Kawasaki )
