Ok, ok, new news finally...
I went to the absolute unanimous best attorney in Spokane, my last consultation with any lawyer in regards to the matter. I liked what I heard, and he is very confident that he can get the ticket to drop. With a speed trap, certain requirements must be followed. The helicopter state patrolman did not file a decleration of speed since he stopwatched me. All he did was radio the officer alerting him that he pulled over the right vehicle.
He said a Negligent 2nd or Wreckless wasnt issued because the officer knew it wouldnt stick. That officer happens to retire this August, so its worth while to sit on it for a while as memory fades.
Oh did I mention he just happens to ride a 2003 R6.
The fee was just $200...cheaper than the price of the ticket.
He said I stand a risk of course of having higher charges filed, but said the risk was worth it. I'll keep everyone posted, this is gonna be good....(cue deep music!)

another angle to consider...if you subpoena all the troops that were involved, usually 2-3 of them, hope one doesnt show then bingo-home free. If they all do show up, then work on a reduced fine... just my $.02

WHOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! STILL NO TICKET ON A BIKE EVER! Check this out, just got this email from my lawyer:
Daniel,
On Thursday I was able to get your speeding ticket dismissed. You do not need to appear for court. I think that's a record, a 106 in a 60 getting dismissed.

I didn't see this thread when this happened to ya, but I'm very glad to see that you did go the lawyer route. sorry to say, but all to often, the money you pay for a lawyer is indeed, ahem (cough, cough) ......well spent.
I would have certainly plead Innocent. Around here, both the helo guy and the ground cop have to show up in court. That's good advice you got about the 'declaration of speed" for the helo.
I got out of an 81 ticket that was also spotted by helo.

Yep, the officer who wrote the ticket must also see the infraction or it's "hearsay" evidence (from the air cop); unless of course, the helo cop shows too. Delay delay delay, get a lawyer, & they probably won't show up 6 months+ later....

fight it fight it fight it!!!!...the court date may cut into my much needed day off, but its O/T pay for some of us...we HAVE to show up or we'd be in contempt ourselves (and judges hate that...and cops hate getting a ding in their personnel records)...the subpoena is an ORDER by the judge for us to appear, afterall...it'd take a real emergency or exigent circumstance to be excused from it...and thus the case being thrown out of court...I just went to court on a case from 18 months ago!..good thing I had good notes to help me recollect the incident! ____________ “We sleep safe in our beds because rough men
