Almost got hit today
Some person in a ford excursion started pulling out just as I'm banked over turning down the road I live on off a main rodway. Luckily I was watching her carefully and she heard my horn. I wish she could have heard what I said. I couldn't even give her the finger. I would have been more fucked up than a run over dog if she would have hit me.Those excursions are like tanks!I had my lights on and I was signaling.
How many time a week/month do you guys almost get hit?

Harry that shit happens to me about once every couple of months, about tiem I start to relax when riding, some cager does some stupid shit like that and puts me back on edge....glad ya didnt hit her....

A big vad tried to pull into peggy's lane today while she was in the (Just out of the shop) Mini Copper! I think she may have given him the finger  ! I am going to but an AirHorn in the car like a large Diesel truck. They may not see her, but they will try to get out of the way of the freight train coming through!

I got nailed my second year of road riding (many moons ago) by a mom in a caravan with kids in the back. I was on my nice old Honda CB-750F Super Sport, it was a sunny, bright Beautiful afternoon and I was traveling down a straight residential road @ about 40 mph (speed limit was 35). She was approaching me from the other way, and suddenly (no turn signals or anything) turned RIGHT into me. OUCH. To make matters worse, I was knocked out for a while (few seconds I think) - when I came to, she was yelling at me for "not seeing her turn left into her driveway". nice. While I was in the ambulance, the medics in the back were all riders. They told me that she was beligerant with them/the cop who arrived. Apparently she "may have been looking at her children while she was turning". Nice move. I think I MAY have been able to avoid the accident not (I have 15 years of riding under my belt) but back then, I couldn't turn fast enough to squeeze around her. That sucked, but I healed and I was able to take the bike and "restore" her over the winter (so we healed together). I still own the bike  .

Yea, I almost got hit yesterday. A young boy in a Toyota 4x4 never seen me turning, and he turned in front of me. He got the finger.

i nearly get it every week or so, and i'm in a ZR2 S10 (not like it is hard to see a freeking jacked up S10...)
people are just ignorant and stupid. they drive like they are the only ones on the road. they drive with a flippant 'who gives a crap' attitude because they have a car with the highest safety ratings. "who cares if i get in a wreck, i'll claim whiplash and sue" "oh the insurance company will fix it THEY have plenty ofm oney"
the usa is the land of the cracker-jack box driver's license. any moron that can point out a red octagonal sign as a stop sign can get their license. hell you don't even have to be literate to get a license.
is it any wonder that these morons are out there causing wrecks aevery day? (i refuse to call them accidents except in VERY VERY limited number of cases, like catastrophic mechanical failure.)
people CHOOSE to be stupid, they CHOOSE to read a newspaper (oh yeh lemme tell you about the old whore in her little ricer-car.....here she is in a RESIDENTIAL area where kids ride bikes and stuff. reading the bloody paper and for sure NOT driving in her lane....i honk horn at her and say "why don't you try DRIVING instead of reading the paper" she (all 60million years old she is) yells back "why don't you kiss my butt!" and completely blows through a 4-way stop. s till reading.
if i didn't have a very short lunch time iwould have turned around and reported that whore's plates...but she wasn't worth missing lunch over.
people like that who cause wrecks and injuries. and the bloody police don't do s**t about it either. sitting at a traffic light, RED damned light. this idiot TOTALLY blows the red light. pulls out of a business parking lot and just drives through the intersection. bloody damned cop sitting on other side of intesection (stopped because he had red too..) and just ignores it. don't know about you but that chaps my ass that these people will pull a damned u-turn quick as can be to ticket a motorcycle doing 45 in a 40, but they can't be bothered to ticket some stupid redneck running a red light.
or the lovely display of driving the other night. i gave up calling cops on the cops, they are in the clique so who gives a damn what the public thinks....it's one thing to be on a damned call and not use signals whenyou have the siren and lights on, sure people get thehell out of hte way. (well except the especially retarded ones that we seem to have around here..they'll just sit there and stare at the damned ambulance behind them and not get the hint to get OUT OF THE WAY YOU MORON) but when the officer is driving marked car on duty and just never bothers to signal anything, drives where they please as far as the lane, talking on the damned cell phone and not staying in lane, i mean come ON what is wrong with this picture, is it any wonder people drive like crap? look at the example they have....
it's a shame that our society has decided to protect these stupid people, like they are some sort of natural resource. good grief let them die and bury them so they can become USEFULL as an oil reserve in a few million years...

hey there. i don't have a zx12 yet, but i've been lusting for awhile, does that count ? my latest kawasaki is a '02
zrx1200, and i dig it alot.seven months ago now i had some
time off work and spent a day in the mountains on the bike,and some cage driving 15 mph below the speed limit picked me off when i passed him. just as i was pulling along side him he made a left turn, no signal. oh, it gets better. he lied to the cops and said he did signal. after he put me and my bike on the road, the car behind me said they saw the whole thing. now i'm taking him to court, if he does'nt settle before hand. there are no sure things, if i lose i'll have to cover my medical, and lawyer costs.
good news is i have pretty much healed and started riding the bike about 3 months ago.

shoot...you guys should try living here w/all the immigrants...they just started driving!!! I have 3-5 close calls on EVERY ride....boneheads just kill you & keep going....happens all the time....cops don't give a shit...
