SBS brake pads for ZX12???
I just bought brake pads: SBS 556LS.S(rear). The rear was making noises even tho there was some pad left (6000mi) and I just got sick of hearing it squeal.
Never heard of SBS and wonder if anyone has any experience. I don't do twisty stuff and only need pretty much straight line stopping. So tell me, did I spend $36 unwisely?????

I've used SBS pads on and off over the years and never regretted it. Pads are like everything else...everyone has their favorites and in reality there is little separating the top brands in terms of performance. I predict you will be well served by the SBS pads.

I bought my 12 at AJ Foyt (7/00), a mistake, but I was in Venezuela moving to Houston, so I was ignorant (and AJF had a green).
After getting here I got to know Rusty at SW Kawasaki (just W of Chimney Rock on the N feeder along I59. I have had VERY good service from them. Parts are cheaper via the web but the kind of service I get from SW Kwak keeps me going back to them.
Example: My gas tank developed the famous ZX12 leak. I called AJ Service and they said I had to bring in my bike and leave it to have them check the problem, then they would order parts as necessary, est 3 weeks from delivery of my bike to pickup.
I then called SW Kwak, and Rusty ordered the tank on my word that I would bring in the bike when the tank came in.
3 days later the tank arrived and my bike was in and out on the 4th day, AND, they did the valve stem nut replacement at the same time (without me asking), AND installed the Muzzy hi capacity gas pump. Total cost to me was like $20-30 (don't remember exactly).
SW Kwak is a family business that treats me like family.

Entropy, e-mail me your number. My e-mail is mag8570@aol.com. I am interested in the 1361, but the 1270 is cheaper. Also, a local Kwak shop is pushing the 1290 kit.
Although I bought my bike from Highlands, I get most of my service done at H Kaw (Rusty) since they are closer and have done a good job for me. Highlands has also done good work for me, but they are a bit far from Pearland.

Wish there were more trustworthy dealers
It's a shame there aren't more stealers,I mean dealers a person can trust.I trust most of them about as far as I can piss and that ain't far!
This is the type of service most dealers offer.Life can be rough for us chickens!
