So how does your significant other feel about motorcycles?
So for all of you who are married or have that special woman in your life, how do they feel about your motorcycle habit? Do they support you? Do they sit down and watch AMA racing with you? Do they like to ride? Curious to hear what the woman in your life handles or hates your passion of riding...

She supports me and makes me go on my yearly bike trip because she knows how I feel about it.
BUT, she doesn't want to know anything about it...like the good story about how you almost got hit by a car....or almost crashed.....or how fast you went, etc
yeah, she doesn't like those stories.

My wife is fantastic, when we got together I bought my first bike in a long time. Sh e was looking forword to riding together. When I told her it was a one person bike and that if she wanted to ride she needed to go buy a bike she did. Now she rides the 01 ZX6r i bought for myself then, and goes to the mountains with me all the time. She will ride 300 miles in a day up in the mountains and not complain. But it sucks cause now when I buy gear, I have to buy 2 of everything....lol
So far she has dropped every bike that she has ridden, except my 6RR. lol
That is why she still has he own bike so she dont drop mine any more....I thought I might kill her when she dropped my 12 up near Deals Gap....but my fear of going to jail was not something I wanted to do.....lmbo

The girl I am with totally supports my passion for motorcycles. She just doesnt like to hear the stories (like ddpete was saying). We go on rides on occassion but I prefer not to give rides on the 12. But still I will throw the passenger footpegs back on sometimes and spend a day just doing scenic riding with her on the back, I know she enjoys that. But the crazy twisties and speeds in excess of xxxmph...she would prefer I didnt bring them up at the dinner table.

Mine used to love to ride...then one of her friends was killed recently on his R6 (stunter kid...sad).
Anyway..she refuses to ride anymore...all bikes are now referred to as "Death machines"...I only see her on weekends and it just doesnt seem worth it to leave her behind and go ride alone...so the bike just sits :/
She has expressed interest in an RS50 to tinker with...perhaps that will get her back into liking motorcycles again if I get one!

Peggy forced me to buy the ZX11 and ZX12! She is still mad that the ECTA will not allow her to ride with me during a Land Speed run! He only problem is "I" Do not ride "FAST" enough anymore! She wants to go 200 through the turns! It was her 250 Ninja that we rode at Daytona!
So I guess she likes bikes ??

My wife just loves them. As a matter fact after getting my 12, she hated riding on the back so much that she bought her own, a zx9r.

mine helped me buy my last bike years and years ago when I was poor, and is lobbying me to buy the 10R instead of a lesser bike - she knows I'll be happier with it!
She's also tickled that I'm drawing with markers, trying to decide on my new leathers color scheme.
Why she's not mad about the money I'm about to spend is beyond me....

Hmmm....
freek I think that was a sign to speed the fuck up!!!!
My wife totally supports me in my motorcycling. She rides pillion on the 12R and loves the twisties. We have a blast together. I just bought her a TTR125LE dirt bike a couple weeks ago and she loves it. It's her very first bike, and the first bike she's ever ridden by herself. She's done great and has really impressed me with how well she is doing. Especially riding in the woods a slow speeds. Her goal is to have her own street bike, and I've gave it my blessing , but only after she has shown the skills that I think are necessary.
I can't stress how good a rider she is only after a couple weeks. I'm starting to think that the 125 is gonna be replaced a lot sooner than I thought. She has been a quick study, but I'll credit a lot of that to her paying attention when she's rode pillion on the 12R with me. That, and the 14 million questions she asked. But, no matter how much skill she has, I still worry about her getting hurt.
Come to think of it that 125 will suit her just fine.

Its strange, but this happens ones and a while. Also I used to take some naps when I was a child and ride a back of my father... You know that sweet sound of motor and Your dreams start...
