I was one of the first Shoei contracted riders in the USA (1975). Been wearing them ever since.

I'm very satisfied with my HJC. But if money were no object, I'd have the Miguel Duhamel replica Shoei.

Suome is the lightest helmet I have seen out there. They are up their in price, but is it true they dont have Snell or Dot ratings?

arai, for no other reason than it's the only brand that fits (their long oval models only). dont touch no replicas; way to flashy for me. a nice solid colour or some relatively calm graphics.

HJC - Ninjaman Replica

HJC - Ninjaman replica,...you know the one with the built in radar jammer?!?!?!?

Honestly I do wear HJC helmets because they fit, they hold up well for me, and they are an excellent value.

Dave i have the Shoei X-11 the same one you posted in fact i wanted it for 6 months and finally broke down and bought it . It has to be the best helmet i've ever owned when you open the top vent on a cool day its like turning on the A/C it actually breaths unlike all other ones. The vents are easily opened with gloves on. I give the helmet on a scale from 1 - 10 a very high 10

I use the Arai Quantum in solid black, its a great helmet with a great fit...I have tried on almost every helmet and sat in the store for a while, Arai fit most comfortably...

Good to hear. Where I am (hot) it's all about the cooling and that's why I got the X-SPII because it flowed better than any others and the removeable and washable liner keeps things fresh. It's just a matter if time.

I originally raced with a Bell. Then went to a Shoei which is too large in the Chin area (Read broken Collar Bones. Then went to an HJC which was OK, but could not remove the liner. Last went to a KBC VR1 nice street Helmet (Cool Max and removal liner, but not good for racing (Read cannot see Up with head down!) My next Helmet will be a NKG or SUOMY because the liners are removable and with your head down, you can see up withou the Helmet Blocking the view!

Does the X-11 fit people with "long oval" heads? I had a shoei like 8 years ago, and it kept leaving a red mark on my forehead cause of my frankenstein like long oval head...?
