WAY OT - just donated a car to the American Children's Fund..
My 1993 Ford Explorer - was a trooper car with over 240K on it (still running well). The thing that was so cool about donating the car is that they gave me a voucher for a tax write off of $4975.00!!!! HOW COOL IS THAT! So... I put over 210K miles on it (bought it with 20K on it) and paid about 20K for the car - so I drove all those years/miles and only paid 15K !! wow I feel good about the world right now  . Anyone thinking about trading in/junking a car should consider this - dealers were only "being generous" and offering 500 bucks for it!
