Need your advice!

I rode my 2000 ZX12R to work! And when I got home, there was oil coming from the left side if the bike by the valve cover? A very small amount was on the left side slider/tip over. This is the first time it has happened. I did ride the bike kinda hard! Like 120 mph in second gear! Bike runs strong! Any suggestions? Aloha, Victor

does that have anything to do with the alternator wiring loom problem that got discussed here a few years back?

or is it totally away from that point?

hey...on the left side of the engine is a small reservoir that catches oil from the crankcase vent tube.. .. after a while it fills up... you can see that it has a small cap on the bottom of it held on with a circlip. Inspect this and drain it.. I am positive that this is your "problem" (really no problem at all) .. inspect the overflow resevoir and report back to us.. .its on the left side of the bike down low...

good luck.. hope this helps!

I had a small leak on the left side and it ended up being a loose valve cover. The dealer missed a few bolts when it came time to tighten them.

I have the same issue. It appears to be coming from the valve cover.
