1500 hp go cart on hydrogen peroxide...
Forget Nitrous, how about a hydrogenperoxide/catalyist turbine zx12r!!! 1500 hp!
I hope walmart has plenty of hydrogen peroxide on the shelf.

Man, and I thought us Americans were nuts.
Did you see the drag-trike? 2000lbs of thrust.

pretty cool, but i can't help but doubt their figures. if they're launching with 25% of max power as they claim, that's around 375hp pushing a go-cart. i dont think so. i'm sure those wheels would jsut spin like mad.

I'm not sure freek - but I think that the power is measured in thrust, right? These are like jet/rocket engines aren't they? I'm not sure they are transfering power to a drive train as much as they are pushing the stuff with thrust power? can anyone clarify?

i was wondering the same thing, but given they say it's a turbine engine and not a jet engine, i believe it will be wheel power. plus, the pic of the cart wheeling proves there's no thrust to speak of i believe.

Pretty damned cool in my little book, nonetheless.

u sure about that? i always understood that the distinction was that the jet engine produces thrust as its end product whereas a turbine converts that thrust to mechanical power. i'm guessing it's jsut an issue of terminology, the words' correct meaning vs common usage. anyway, i realize they both work on the same initial principle, but the question is what they DO with the power in this application.

It appears to have a mechanical gear box of some type.
Maybe it also uses the thrust?
I dont know if it qualifies as a "jet" engine being it doesnt really "combust" anything. Its just a catalyist.
The scarry part is the % of hydrogen peroxide solution they use.
Do you guys remember the german me262 that used an "A" stock and a "B" stock fuel? They had to add the "A" and then completely clean the area of any residue and remove the fuel truck and then have a completely different set of guys pull up with the "B" and add it to the me262.
Crazy stuff.
Geez, and i thought adding propolyene oxide to a zx12r was nuts...!!!
