OT How do you stop Spam Mail?

I wonder if this site, Labusas or ZX12R are causing this new flood of Spam mail! Is there some way to block it? We now have a system that marks the mail Spam and out of 100 pieces, it has been wrong only once and it was not an important piece of mail. Now only is the Junk Mail a waste of time, but geting junk talking about Enlarging things at work is just not cool. I have Windows NT here at work. Is there any way to return mail that is marked [SPAM]??

I first tried to delete it and empty the trash. The tired to un-subscribe. What do you think?

I dont recommend doing the Unsubscribe option, nor trying to have it returned because if it goes back to the originating Spam source, then your just confirming that your email address is valid and you set yourself up for more Spam since they then know for sure your email addy is a good one.

Personally, I use Eudora for my POP access and the Filter settings are superb. I have never used Outlook in my life.

If you download the new version of Eudora from their website, email me and I'll generate a key for you to register it as the full version.

Hope that helps.

Vincent never respond to junk email, as mentioned above the fact is just by responding to the "click here to unsubscribe" will actually confirm that your email address is valid and it will cause 100 times more SPAM!

The best thing you can do is start using Outlook 2003 as an email client. It comes standard with Microsoft Office 2003. Outlook 2003 has the best anti-spam filtering options available. Some SPAM that has web content actually confirms that you're email account is valid just by previewing the message! Outlook 2003 can prevent this.

If you need an "evaluation" copy let me know.

I sort of thought that because when I was just trashing them and empty the trash, it was a "Few" Now that I tried to unsubscribe it usually states already unsubscribed. I just had someone here in my office who set up my Spam filter and what they are doing is marking the mail [SPAM] and now that I have set it up, it will all go to a folder. Every day ro week, I am to open the folder and empty everything back to SPAM that is correct and Not Spam if wrong and eventually, I will see no more spam! Thanks, this is stupid and getting worse!

yeah vince, it is gettin worse these days. bad enough that the big companies (including MS) are doing alot of active talks lately as to finding a better solution. i'd check if what u'v been flooded with is spam or virus emails tho. mydoom is still running around a lot.

as to using unsubscribe, once in a while it will work, with what i'd call "legitimate" spam. but most of the time it's jsut coming from spamhouses who jsut fire shit out constantly. i often get the same piece of spam more than once a day. obviosuly they're jstu shitheads if they do that. if it's an option, change ur email entirely, tho often it's not an option. u can also help out by reporting spam to spamcop.net

The part I do not understand is if you piss people off, do you expect them to then Buy from you? WHo would do business with someone you do not know and sure cannot trust?

Hopefully as this sh comes through and I return it to the SPAM Filter, it will decrease to the point of no problem again! Congress needs to do to them what they did to the phone calls. I get so few calls nowadays that I may even take my machine off the phone that returns a disconnect to any machine calling me!

apparently enough retards out there respond and buy from spam sites

i've bought from known vendors that i'm signed up with, but jimbob sends me penis enlargement cream ads, nope not gonna buy

but if it wasn't profitable they wouldn't do it.

same goes for popup ads.

for popups get mozilla's firefox software.

as for spam, i recently changed my email address (september) and i'mnow starting to get some spam. maybe 3-5 a week. but i think it has to do with activity and such. i send mail out and it has return address on it, eventually you'll start getting spam.
