Got some new lights for my 12 finally! Dang I ordered these back in December when I got back, they finally came off national back order and they showed up today whooohooo some new nasty lights for my 12, both headlights and the matching wedge bulb for the center light. Gotta give credit where it is due so thanks to DaveInDaytona for getting me hooked on these...I'll drop them in soon when I get to Dino's place where my precious 12 is at aaaah I miss it.

I personally ordered mine from www.ltbmotorsports.com but I dont know if I would recommend them. They had the best price I could find on the bulbs, but I ordered them back in December and I just now got them. I emailed them every couple weeks, and they were quick to respond for sure, but they always said they were on backorder which really isnt their fault. They just never emailed me in the beginning telling me that, I had to ask them. But they did come sure enough so it ended good. Just my experience...

Cool deal, you'll be happy with them. I have ones that have been running in two bikes for 4 years and about 30,000 miles.
DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS when you put them in. That will shorten the life big time.

There's no need to touch them at all. If you take them out of the package by the base you just put them in place and you're done. It will be obvious when you take the old bulbs out.

If you have to touch them, use a lint free cloth and wipe them down with isopropyl alcohol. Let dry competely afterwards...Unless you like to see interesting flickers of flame... ____________

Ok so I needed some new bulbs for the parking lights in my Toyota truck, so off to Wal-Mart I go to grab some. After comparing them, I realized they are the exact same size and voltage of those Piaa wedge bulbs I ordered.
Has anyone seen these bulbs at Walmart? They have some by Sylvania that are Piaa H4 bulbs, but hella cheaper.
And the wedge bulb made by GE at WalMart was less then $2 bucks for two bulbs compared to Piaa's $11....
How are the GE and Sylvania brands at WalMart? Is Piaa rakin in that much profit margin for what special reason?

GE and Sylvania are good products, just like the stock bulbs in your bike now are good. And if you go into NAPA you can find H4's that work good too. They are not the same. Let me try to explain the "special reason".
H4 is a 12 volt type of bulb that is common for a lot of applications, not just your bike. And the wedge bulbs are a common type used in applications like marker, dome, and dash lights. The amount and type of light is very different depending on the manufacturer.
To compare you will need to look at the effective wattage and the "whiteness" of the light put off by the bulb which is measured in degrees kelvin. It will be much different than you may think and you see the difference whe you use them. The manufacturing involved in making these bulbs to different specs differs and so does the costs.
Piaa's are expensive, but they work excellently. If you want to shop Wal Mart for the price (and I do all the time) and ignore the other possible factors in similar products (which isn't such a good idea) then I'm sure you could find Sam's 10W-40 that will meet the specs for your bike too for $.87 a quart and save yourself a bunch from the $3. 87 for MX4T. It's your money and your bike.

HEY BEANS BAXTER WHY SO MANY BULBS ORDERED, ???? HAVENT EVEN LOOKED AT MY 12s CONFIGURATION ITS IN BED FOR THE WINTER FAR FAR AWAY SO CAN'T LOOK. HELP ME SEE THE LIGHT.

FastOne, Beans only ordered 3 lights. Two are the H4 model for the headlights. One is the "wedge" style for the 12R nightlight thing at the lower edge of our windscreen.

Yeah, and the package for the wedge lights just happens to come in pairs, so of the four bulbs shown, three will be installed. I'll have an extra wedge bulb, but as it sounds from other people's experience, I wont need to replace them anytime soon.
lol maybe I'll post the remaining extra wedge bulb on the classifieds section

Less than 3000 miles, and the high beam on one of the headlight bulbs went out on those PIAA's....what is up with that?!?!?!?!?
