Groove, I know why you fell!
Groove, just in case you are still looking in from time to time, I now know why you fell at Myrtle Beach last year. Remember, you sold me your Sprocket Carrier assembly with everything attached. Well, I started cleaning up my Basement / Workshop and had that assembly sitting on the floor. When I got it totally cleaned up, I discovered that the Bearing turned very rough. I then cleaned it completely and it was in very bad shape, but when I looked at the spacer that the bearing rides on, I could see where it has siezed to the inner race of the bearing and broken free and then spun in the inner race.
What this all means to me is that the left side of your rear wheel locked up which not only locked the rear wheel, but when the left side locked up, it allowed the right side to turn a little more before the wheel stopped turning which would have given you a slight twitch before total wheel lock up and thrown you down the road.
I always replace any moving parts on anything I buy used and after seeing this, I am also going to replace my bearing in the Sprocket Carrier also!
Guys, if you have been snatching gears and wheelies and burn outs, when you change that next tire, take the time to use Brake cleaner and completely clean out that bearing and feel how it is doing. If you feel "ANY" Roughness, Replace it! (No matter how many miles are on the bike!

Vincent, you may be on to something. I never looked into, but I'm glad you checked it out completely before trying to use it.
I'm just waiting for my blue ZX-10 to make it to Ohio...
Talk to you later.

Remember, I told you that I was going to replace everything because I trust nothing, but when I found that, I could see that your rear wheel had gotten hot, locked up and then released when it had cooled. That bearing would barely turn even now. It also looked like you bought the Aluminum wheel spacers for the rear also!
Good to hear from you! I sat on the ZX10 and even I fit. I thought it was so much Bull the concave tank until I bent over it and could get lower than on my 12 before I modified your tank. Did I also tell you that the vent tube from the gas cap was broken right where the it was braised to the front of the tank? I used that tube for the gasoline supply for the Wet side of the NOS> I think you will love the ZX10 and specially the 100 less pounds with about the same power. Before I go to Maxton this year, I will be in your area at Brock Davidson's having him look over my bike before I make my first runs. Later
