The 3 and 3r work virtually the same ... sans the extra ground wire.

PalmIII, PalmV, PalmVII, Palm m505, and I think m105 are all useable versions of the palm. I personally used a PalmIII, a PalmV and a Palm m505 when I was writing it.
The Handspring Visor is cheaper but DOES NOT work. The serial electronics are not part of the unit so without the cradle plugged into a computer nothing works.
You can pickup a used PalmV for 50 bucks pretty easily. That is what I would recommend since I have the most testing on that model. You are likely to have the least amount of problems.

Also... Once you have your TP calibrated for your bike you don't have to send it anymore unless something physcally changes on the bike. So setting it once should be good.

Does anyone have a 3r usb yet? I need a PC3r within the next month. I think I want a new one and figure the latest one would be best.

Ignition Module is going to be a separate unit now so... No such thing as a PCIIIr Usb. But more to the point...The Ign module for the zx12r won't be done in the next month.

Richard,
Once you run the PCIII application on the Palm, it will show you a list of maps that you put on your Palm via the computer. You just have to select the one you want and it will download to the PCIII.
