MIC Release: Save the Date: May 28 MIC Communications Symposium Goes Virtual2020-05-15 04:28
The MIC's annual communications meeting will become a monthly webinar series beginning May 28. The MIC Symposium Series will feature business, marketing, and government relations experts to help association members, with key insights to navigate the COVID-19 crisis and build for the future.
"Association members need actionable information and advice to implement in their businesses now, so the MIC is bringing the MIC Symposium Series online," said Erik Pritchard, MIC president and CEO. "Bringing our symposium online provides us the opportunity to deliver information and insights on a monthly basis directly to a nationwide audience."
The opening webinar, "Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.," is scheduled for Thursday, May 28, at 10 am PDT. It will be free, even for non-members. Register now.
This month's webinar will feature:
Erik Pritchard, MIC president and CEO, with a state of the industry address
Scott Schloegel, MIC senior vice president of government relations, with a legislative and policy update
Cinnamon Kernes, vice president and general manager of MIC Events, with a preview of AIMExpo 2021, the American International Motorcycle Expo
Questions can be submitted to the speakers, and the interactive format will provide critical, real-time insights; vital updates about state, local, and federal policies; and actionable information businesses can immediately use.
"We're starting off the symposium series with important updates and informed outlooks from staff," Pritchard said. "We want to introduce everyone across the industry to our new virtual program. Future episodes for members and paid guests will feature experts from across the industry and the broader business community. Alex Chausovsky from ITR Economics, who was at last year's symposium, will conduct a webinar with us on June 25."
"Amid the financial hardship, anxiety, and uncertainty, there are opportunities to refine, reset, and rebuild stronger than ever," Pritchard said. "We'll be sharing valuable ideas and information throughout the 2020 MIC Symposium Series."
