Norrodin targets further progress in second weekend with PETRONAS Sprinta Racing

Adam Norrodin will return to action for PETRONAS Sprinta Racing at this weekend’s Aragon Grand Prix, excited to have a second outing on the team’s Moto2 machine after an encouraging debut in Misano last weekend. Continuing to deputise for the injured Khairul Idham Pawi, he’s keen to build on the lessons learned last time out and close down the gap to the leaders even more at MotorLand Aragon.

Unfortunately failing to finish last Sunday’s race despite showing big improvements throughout the weekend, his second chance at Aragon can’t come soon enough for the Malaysian. Heading to a track he likes and with a weekend’s experience of the new Triumph-powered Moto2 machines under his belt, he knows where he and the team need to concentrate to continue their development instead of going in full of unknowns.

The Gran Premio de Aragon weekend gets underway on Friday 20th September with free practice starting at 1055 local time (1655 Malaysian time) ahead of race day at MotorLand Aragon on Sunday 22nd.

“Aragon has always been really good for me, with a really positive weekend last year in Moto3 and a strong race in the CEV championship on the Moto2 machine. It’s definitely a much better track for me than Misano. The bike really wasn’t far away last weekend, and I’m already feeling confident with it. I need to understand the electronics better though, and that’ll be the big task for this weekend. It’s the area where I feel I’m being held back the most, but I’m sure that my working hard with the team we’ll be able to find something more.”
