Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Cianciarulo Excited to Head Back to Budds Creek2019-08-16 10:11
Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo, Garrett Marchbanks and Martin Davalos are gearing up to head outside the nation’s capital to Budds Creek Motocross Park in Mechanicsville, Maryland. The venue holds a particularly special place for Cianciarulo who earned his first career Pro Motocross overall win during his last trip to the circuit in 2017. Marchbanks has found his speed and is ready to tack on another top 10 finish, while Davalos is happy to be back on the line and looking to improve from his Unadilla outing.
Cianciarulo was not shy last weekend when he showed his enthusiasm for getting back to the location of his first career pro motocross overall win. The Floridian has always done well at Budds Creek, but the breakthrough win two years ago has Cianciarulo looking forward to getting back out and back on top.
“I really like the track at Budds Creek and it will always hold a special place in my heart after getting that first win,” said Cianciarulo. “I remember that feeling and have been lucky to experience it a lot this season. I would love to repeat my 2018 effort and I’m ready to make the final push to the end of the season.”
It was a solid day for Marchbanks at Unadilla who was able to showcase his speed again. He’s ready to take the lessons learned and bring a big effort for the final four motos of the season, starting this weekend in Maryland.
“If I can get some decent starts, I know I have the speed to grab another top 10,” said Marchbanks. “I would love to do even better and think there is a solid chance for a good ride this weekend. I know that start can be tricky, but I’ve got an amazing team behind me to help get me where I need to be.”
Davalos made a last-minute decision to ride at Unadilla and he put in a decent finish with little seat time while recovering from injury. With his first race under his belt in over a month, Davalos is now looking to break into the top 10 for the first time this season.
“I felt good overall on the bike and had to come through the pack a little too much, which is tough at a place like Unadilla with all the rocks and roost,” said Davalos. “Getting a good start will be important and hopefully I can put in a good ride for the team.”
The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki riders will be signing autographs at the team semi-truck on Saturday, August 17. Head to the truck in the pits to collect a mandatory wristband for the signing, usually around 9 a.m.
Saturday’s race from the Budds Creek National will be broadcast on MAVTV for Moto 1 on August 17 at 1 p.m. ET, while the Moto 2 races will be one-hour delayed on NBC Sports at 4 p.m. ET. All racing can be found live using an NBC Gold subscription.
