2018 Ténéré 700 World Raid Flies to Argentina2018-09-14 12:50
Adrien van Beveren picks up where he left off on the 2018 Dakar Rally route in Argentina. Swapping his Yamaha WR450F Rally for the Ténéré 700 World Raid Prototype, Adrien chases the next horizon in South America.
Continuing the 2018 Ténéré 700 World Raid, Adrien van Beveren journeyed back to Argentina where his Dakar Rally ended earlier this year. This leg of the journey brings people into the harsh world of the professional rally rider and shows off the versatility of the Ténéré 700 World Raid Prototype in all new surroundings. Adrien is part of the Yamalube Yamaha Official Rally Team, one of the greatest names in rally today and he's ready to show just what this bike can do.
Following on from Rodney Faggotter's trip down under and Stéphane Peterhansel's adventures in Morocco, Adrien travelled back to the site of his exit from the 2018 Dakar Rally and prepared to conquer the terrain on this cutting-edge machine. The Ténéré 700 World Raid Prototype was delivered to the exact location of Adrien's crash earlier this year and from there the mission was on. The rally superstar tested the Ténéré 700 World Raid Prototype on some of the toughest terrain South America had to offer and proved once again the absolute adaptability of the bike in any condition. Harsh rocky terrain, barren plains and thick scrub were all conquered joyously by man and machine.
Adrien has years of experience riding off-road machines and there are few people in the world more qualified to bring the Ténéré 700 World Raid Prototype to the public's attention. A six time Enduropale du Touquet winner and multiple Dakar Rally entrant, van Beveren missed out on a podium place in the 2017 Dakar Rally by just one minute. He was the natural choice for the South American leg of the 2018 Ténéré 700 World Raid. After an evening by the campfire out in the Argentinian wilderness, Adrien picked up the reins in the early morning light and continued to demonstrate the 2018 Ténéré 700 World Raid Prototype's one of a kind ability to handle anything that comes its way.
With its supreme blend of power and manoeuvrability, the 2018 Ténéré 700 World Raid Prototype took Adrien van Beveren through the highs and lows of the 2018 Dakar Rally route at a thrilling pace. Heading for the final destination and completing the course he had to leave early, the 2018 Ténéré 700 World Raid Prototype proved its mettle and the rider reached his goal; ready to pass the machine on for the next leg of the journey and a new rider, with new goals and new challenges.
With the South American chapter of the tale told, the 2018 Ténéré 700 World Raid finds its way to Europe where a host of adventure legends will take on the ambassadorship throughout the continent.
