GAVIOTA ÁNGEL NIETO TEAM SETS HIGH TARGETS IN AUSTIN

The Spanish Moto3 team hope to make up further positions this weekend with both Andrea Migno and Albert Arenas
After two rounds of the Moto3 World Championship only one rider has managed to maintain a 100% podium record, with two second places for Aron Canet leaving him on top of the current standings ahead of Jorge Martín and Marco Bezzecchi, race winners in Qatar and Argentina respectively. Both Martín and Bezzecchi finished outside the top ten of the race they didn't win and they will look for a return to their best form at the Circuit of the Americas, where Martín finished second last season in a race Canet failed to finish.

Gaviota Ángel Nieto Team riders Andrea Migno and Albert Arenas are both targeting a return to the sharp end of the field in the USA, with Arenas yet to get off the mark after missing the race in Qatar through injury and crashing out of a points position with just a few laps remaining in Argentina. Migno heads to COTA on the back of a top ten in the opening round of the season and 13th place last time out, the Italian also having scored points on his last three visits to Austin, including a twelfth place as a best result.

Andrea Migno: “We're heading into the race this weekend at Circuit of the Americas feeling keen to show our potential and to do the best job possible, like always. Over the first two rounds of the season we have worked out what we are lacking and little by little we are making our way up to the positions we deserve to be in. We want to be competitive again in Austin to leave there on Sunday evening feeling satisfied with everything we have done.”

Albert Arenas: “After what happened in Argentina I am looking forward to finishing the job we started there this weekend in Austin. It was a shame not to finish the race but the feeling with the bike was good. We will have to keep working to stay on the upward curve. I spent the last week on holiday in the USA but I kept up my training and I will be 100% on the right time zone for this weekend.”
