TLD’s Seely Earns Moto Podium On The Way To Season-Best Finish at Washougal2017-07-31 08:41
Troy Lee Designs rider Cole Seely earned his first moto podium of the season on his way to a season-best finish of fourth overall at Washougal MX Park in the Pacific Northwest. While riding to a 3-5 moto score, Seely was able to move up in the championship standings to fifth in points as the series heads into its final three rounds.
As the first moto got underway, Seely got out to one of his better starts of the season and he wasn’t going to let it go to waste. His fourth place start quickly turned into third, where he would hold on until the end. Seely got another good start in Moto 2 in sixth, pushing towards the front and eventually finishing fifth. His 3-5 score placed him fourth overall, giving Seely his best finish of the season and pushing him up to fifth in the standings.
“I like come out to Washougal every year and I was able to make it count with a good finish,” said Seely. “It was nice to be able to take advantage of the good starts because the track was really tricky and it would have been a tough race if I was further back. I’m looking forward to the break and we’ll see if we can keep this up.”
Seely gets to take a weekend off before the final three rounds get underway at Unadilla MX in New Berlin, New York on August 12.
Seely was wearing the SE Air Squadra Navy and Orange Racewear. He also wore the SE4 Composite McQueen Helmet. See more of the 2018 gear sets and the 2018 Moto Helmets online and at your local TLD retailer.
