RCH/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing Pushes Into Seattle

2017-04-07 07:48
Fresh from a solid outing in St. Louis, RCH/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing pushes into Seattle this weekend when Monster Energy Supercross, an FIM World Championship, returns to CenturyLink Field for Round 14 of the 2017 championship.

RCH is also pleased to showcase a new partnership with Microsoft this weekend. Microsoft activation will be a focal point in the RCH paddock on Saturday where Supercross fans are invited to be a part of the digital transformation through Virtual Reality, X Box, and Microsoft Surface.

Following a solid eighth-place finish last weekend in St. Louis, Broc Tickle, rider of the No. 20 Suzuki RM-Z450, climbed into sole possession of eighth in points where he now paces two-time Supercross Champion Chad Reed and veteran Dean Wilson by seven. With four races left on the 2017 calendar, Tickle trails seventh-place Davi Millsaps by 17 points and sixth-place Blake Baggett by 20.

In two previous Seattle 450SX starts, Tickle finished seventh in 2013 and eighth in 2012. Tickle also owns a pair of 250SX Class starts at CenturyLink Field where he finished third in 2011 and earned the win in 2010.

“I’m really looking forward to Seattle this weekend,” commented Tickle who notched his first career 250SX Class win in Seattle. “It’s always been a great track for me. I got my first win on a 250 in Seattle in 2010 and I’ve done pretty well on a 450, too. We had a good run last weekend in St. Louis so we’ll carry that momentum into tomorrow night. Hopefully we can get some good jumps out of the (starting) gate and run with the leaders. If I ride the way I’m supposed to ride, we’ll have a good night. I’m pumped. It’s been a few years since we raced in Seattle so I’m stoked that we’re going back.”

Last weekend in St. Louis, Tickle’s RCH stablemate Justin Bogle was among the top five when the gate dropped on the main event and raced with the front-runners for much of the early goings. As the night wore on, Bogle raced hard, took care of his machine and ultimately brought his Suzuki home 11th at the checkered flag.

Despite missing three of main events as a result of injury and not qualifying for the feature at Daytona, he moved up to 17th in points last weekend after securing his fifth top-12 finish of the season. With only eight points separating Bogle from 15th-place Malcolm Stewart and 14 between him and Jake Weimer for 14th, four races leaves “the Captain” plenty of time to climb the standings.

The 2014 Eastern Regional 250 SX Class Champion has yet to make his mark in Seattle and will record his first career start at CenturyLink Field tomorrow night.

“We were decent last weekend so hopefully we can better than that tomorrow night,” said Bogle. “That’s always the goal. We always want to be better than we were the week before. The team is behind me 100 percent. I’m very thankful for that because it’s been a rough season. I’ve never raced in Seattle so it’s a new track for me. Hopefully we can break though with a solid, consistent night.”

Before the gate drops at the track, Tickle and Bogle will meet fans and sign autographs at Ride Motorsports, tonight from 6-7 p.m. Located just 23 miles North of CenturyLink Field in Woodinville, Wash., Ride Motorsports services Seattle, Bellevue, Woodinville, Snohomish, Redmond, Renton and all the surrounding Washington areas.

Round 14 of Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, will be televised live on FS1 Sat., April 8, beginning at 10 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, 7 p.m. Pacific.
