CFTA (California Flat Track Association) is proud to announce this collaboration with SDI Racing, promoter of the Sacramento Mile Professional American Flat Track series. CFTA presents the AMA Western Pro/Am Series round on the Sacramento Mile track the Sunday, May 21st, 2017.

SDI Racing’s Steve and Vincent Delorenzi are excited CFTA has come on board to promote the Sunday Sacramento Mile Pro/Am program. Steve stated, “After the successful turn out for CFTA's Santa Rosa event last year along with the dedicated racer’s support, the decision to offer Randy and his team the Sunday program was a win, win…”

Riders will range in age from a youthful 12 to veteran racers well into their 70’s. There will be a wide range of classes too, including modern bikes as well as flat trackers dating back to the 1950’s and even earlier. This event brings out the best in both machine and rider. Fans will have pit access during the entire day, giving them the opportunity to get close to the sport's rising young stars as well as enjoy the rolling museum that is known as classic vintage mile flat track racing.

CFTA’s CEO Randy Kremlacek states the Sacramento Mile event is the sparkling jewel of their 2017 Pro/Am series. “There is no more spectacular race than the mile and the Sacramento Mile is one of the best in the country. We are honored and proud to be part of this racing weekend and we thank Steve Delorenzi and SDI Racing for making this come together.” Kremlacek continues, "This race is the only amateur mile event in the U.S. in 2017, and riders will be flocking in from all corners of the world to take advantage of this rare opportunity. When we last promoted this event in 2015, we had 225 entries, including riders from Canada, the U.K. and France.”
