RCH Goes Solo at Round 42017-01-27 07:15RCH/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing will head to Phoenix with one rider on the mend and one rider on the rise when Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, returns to University of Phoenix Stadium Saturday night. After suffering a hard crash while leading his heat race last weekend in Anaheim (Calif.), Justin Bogle will remain on the sidelines this weekend as the 2014 Eastern Regional 250SX Class Champion continues to recover from injuries to his lungs and upper chest area. Bogle will remain in California this weekend to receive treatment and therapy and is expected to return for Round 5 in Oakland. “Anaheim was a rough one,” explained the rider of the No. 19 Suzuki RM-Z450. “I had a rough crash during practice earlier in the week and then I had an issue, not sure exactly what happened, but I came up way short on a jump and ended up going down during the first lap of the heat. I slammed my chest pretty good and ended up having some trouble breathing. I tried going back out in the semi and just feel things out but I didn’t feel good at all. I felt kind of like a hazard out there. I went back to the truck and decided to go to the hospital and get checked out. I wasn’t sure what was going on. I ended up spending the night in the hospital and luckily it wasn’t anything major. I’m blessed to be up and walking around. It could have been a lot worse. I’m hoping some rest and a little extra therapy will do the trick so I can be ready for Oakland next weekend. No sense in being out there if I’m not 100 percent.” Bogle’s RCH stablemate Broc Tickle comes into Round 4 on a positive trend after finishing 16th, 13th and 12th in the first three races and comes in to Phoenix 13th in points. The rider of the No. 20 Suzuki was sidelined last February when the series visited the home of the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals for the first time but looks to break through with his first top-10 finish of the season Saturday night. “I was hurt last year so I couldn’t race at the new stadium but I always enjoyed racing at Chase Field,” explained Tickle. “I like being in Phoenix and I’ve always done pretty well when I race out there so I’m looking forward to it. Obviously we’re there to work and at the end of the day it’s just another race but it’s cool to go to different places. I’m really just focusing on what I need to do to improve.” First on Tickle’s to-do list of improvements is getting a better jump out of the starting gate. Over the opening three rounds of the 2017 season, the 27-year-old North Carolina native has had his issues with getting through the early stages of the main events without incident but expects far better results with a clean start Saturday night. “Starts are becoming more important every week,” continued Tickle. “Everyone who competes at this level are obviously very good at what they do and we all work hard so a lot of times it boils down to how good of a start you get. If you start deep in the field, it’s hard to reel the leaders back in. I started 10th or 11th last week and I crashed on the first lap so you can’t really expect to go from dead last and finish in the top five. The pace is so fast that all you can really do is pick yourself up and try and save as many points as you can. It’s all about putting yourself up front for the first couple laps and staying there. Even though I had to pass a lot of guys to finish 12th last weekend, I felt like my pace was good. I have the speed. I just need to get it right out of the gate. I don’t feel like I’ve even cracked the surface of what I’m capable of.” Before the gate drops, Tickle will meet fans and sign autographs tomorrow from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Ride Now Powersports.
