Following their first day on track riders Zulfahmi Khairuddin and Jakub Kornfeil used Saturday’s sessions to continue learning more about their 2015 KTM Moto3 machines.
Having a full circuit to themselves, as pit lane opened for Sunday’s test, the team wasted no time in getting out on track, taking full advantage of the perfect conditions.

The team will resume their testing schedule on Friday 27th February, following a four day break whilst the MotoGP teams carry out their second official test at the circuit.

Johan Stigefelt – Team Manager
“Now we’ve finished the first three days of testing here at Sepang Circuit and it’s been a great learning experience with the new bike and we are really starting to understand more and more. There is a lot to learn and to go through but we are sticking to our test plan and I’m satisfied with how it’s going. We have to really thank Sepang Circuit for allowing us to be here and have the track to ourselves. There’s no interruption with weather and it’s perfect. We have all day to use the track and this is really helping us to get through our test program well, so I’m really looking forward already for our next three test days here. The riders have done a good job and we’ve done quite a lot of laps today, which is also good as we’re getting more mileage on the bike. The next part of our test will be very interesting because then we can work a bit more intense on the set-up and go more for lap times.”

“The test today was good – we improved the setting on the bike and I’m really happy with the progress we made. Each day we are learning more and now we know how to set-up the bike better. It is great to have this time on track to ourselves; we are following our test plan well and step by step we are improving and I look forward to when we return next Friday. Everything is coming together and hopefully in the next test we can improve some more.”

#84 Jakub Kornfeil
“Today we were more focused to set-up the bike very well because it is already the third day of testing. We wanted to go a little bit faster, so we worked on improving the settings a little bit. We started early morning which was perfect as the track temperature was very good and conditions were very good for setting up the bike. We were able to try many things, especially in the front and as the day progressed we were able to get faster and faster. With the changes we made, finally we found a middle ground with the bike and I’m very happy as they improved the bike a lot. Now I feel like I am on a racing bike again, so this has been a positive day. Now we have some days off to analyse the data. In this moment I have to say we have done a good job and everyone in the team is staying in a positive mind-set.”
