Feld Motor Sports® announced today the 2013 AMSOIL Arenacross schedule which kicks off January 4, 2013 at the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass. The series then travels to 9 cities across the U.S. before a dramatic conclusion at the historical Denver Coliseum on March 16, where a 2013 AMSOIL Arenacross Champion will be crowned.

Over the course of 11 weeks, AMSOIL Arenacross will provide thousands of fans with the high-octane, bar-to-bar competition that has become the trademark of this captivating championship. With two-time Arenacross Class champion Tyler Bowers searching for his third straight title, future stars like Zach Ames and Michael Willard will threaten his reign, while veterans Jeff Gibson, Nathan Skaggs and Kelly Smith highlight one of the deepest field of riders in AMSOIL Arenacross history.

“Opening the season at the DCU Center in Worcester will set the tone for the highly anticipated 2013 AMSOIL Arenacross season,” said Feld Motor Sports’ Vice President of Two-Wheel Operations Todd Jendro. “With one of the deepest fields of talent the sport has seen in years, fans across the country will have an opportunity to witness some of the most intense and drama filled racing from week to week before the Championship culminates at the season finale at the Denver Coliseum in Denver.”

“I’ve been a part of AMSOIL Arenacross for three years now and it’s been good to me,” said Bowers, whose 33 career wins places him fourth on the all-time wins list. “The close competition has really helped me and has done a lot for my skill set. Arenacross is about getting back to basics. It’s not just about being the fastest; it’s also about staying out of trouble. That’s why you see the kind of exciting and tough racing you can only get from arenacross.”

Five-time AMA Arenacross Champion and television color analyst Buddy Antunez said, “With the first round in Worcester, we can expect a huge crowd, and with the season finale in Denver, who knows what will happen because of the impact the altitude will have on the bike’s engine. The big question going into 2013 will be ‘who can beat Tyler Bowers’.”

Jendro went on to say,” In the near future, a series of major announcements about the format and structure of AMSOIL Arenacross will be made that will significantly impact the sport.”
