Hopkins out of Magny-Cours WSB2012-10-06 12:06FIXI Crescent Suzuki’s John Hopkins has been forced to withdraw from the rest of this weekend’s proceedings at the final round of the 2012 eni FIM Superbike World Championship at Magny-Cours in France. Hopkins has been struggling with the hip injury he suffered earlier this season and the layout and technical demands of the 4,411m French circuit have severely aggravated the injury, causing pain levels which made it impossible for him to continue. Hopkins ended this morning’s final qualifying session after only two laps and after careful consideration and discussions with the team, he took the tough decision to abandon any further attempts to race this weekend.
