TRIPLE WIN FOR GRANDYS DUO SUZUKI2012-08-03 20:06Suzuki GRANDys duo riders Andy Meklau and Marko Jerman raced to a triple victory on their GSX-R1000s on the opening day of Polish Superbike and Alpe Adria Championship fifth round at Poznan at the weekend. Meklau claimed victories in the Superstock 1000 and Formula X-Treme classes and team mate Jerman lifted the Superbike class victory. Unfortunately their luck was to change on the second day - plagued with heavy rain showers and slippery track conditions - both riders crashing out of the Superbike race. However, Jerman still retains a commanding lead in the Superbike class and Meklau is third in the Superstock 1000 class. Said Team Manager Jacek Grandys: "Saturday was a great day for our team and we proved who is the best in Poland, but motorcycle racing is very freakish sport and today we had a good example of it. We had a chance for a double victory in the Superbike class with three laps to go, but the track was very slippery and both Andy and Marko crashed. I pleased that they were not serious and both riders are ok, but I'd like to congratulate Greg Junod on his victory. Now we have a lot of work to do before the final round."
