GRANDY DUO SUZUKI ON POLE AT MOST SBK2012-07-14 17:32
GRANDys duo Suzuki's Andy Meklau is on Pole Position in the Superbike class and also second in the Superstock class grid for tomorrow's fourth round of the Polish and Alpe Adria Cup Championships at the Most circuit in the Czech Republic.
With several team riders side-lined from the event due to injury, Meklau's team mate Marko Jerman posted the fifth-fastest time in the Superbike class, Bartek Wiczynski ninth in the Superstock qualifying; and Szymon Strankowski was the second Junior Class rider in Superstock 600s.
Jacek Grandys - Team Manager:
"We hoped for more in today qualifying, but these results give us a chance to fight for the best positions in the races. After rain-hit practices yesterday, when we couldn't optimally set up motorcycles, we had to do most of the work today and there was simply no time to make fast laps. Probably during warm-up tomorrow we will check some settings and then we will be ready for the races. I hope the weather will stay nice and the fans will see a great show tomorrow."
Superbike: 1 Andy Meklau (GRANDys duo Suzuki), 2 Michal Filla, 3 Radek Rous, 4 Greg Junod, 5 Marko Jerman (GRANDys duo Suzuki).
Superstock 1000: 1 Michal Filla, 2 Andy Meklau (GRANDys duo Suzuki), 3 Michal Drobny, 4 Gwen Giabbani, 5 Martin Choy. 9 Bartek Wiczynski (GRANDys duo Suzuki).
Supersport: 1 Stefan Kerschbaumer, 2 Michal Sembera, 3 Marek Szkopek, 4 David Latr, 5 Igor Kalab, 16 Szymon Strankowski (GRANDys duo Suzuki) - 2nd Junior Class Rider.
