The FIM meets with Motocross Manufacurers & Teams.

FIM President Vito Ippolito invited all the Motocross Manufacturers and Teams engaged in the FIM Motocross World Championship to a meeting in Mies on 27 June 2012. The meeting was chaired by the FIM President and attended by:

FIM representatives:
CEO Stéphane Desprez; Executive Director, Sports Ignacio Verneda; Motocross Commission Director Wolfgang Srb and Motocross Coordinator Dirk De Neve .

Teams & Manufacturers:
Roger Harvey and Lorenzo Resta (Honda), Pierluigi Zampieri and Ilario Ricci (Husqvarna), Steve Guttridge and François Lemarley (Kawasaki), Thomas Hannecke and Sylvain Geboers (Suzuki), Marco Ricciardi (TM), Laurens Klein Koerkamp and Michele Rinaldi (Yamaha).
During this meeting, which took place in a spirit of mutual respect and understanding, the Manufacturer and Team representatives reported on the 2012 Championship on behalf of all the teams associated with their brands. In addition to sharing their viewpoints and concerns, they also presented new ideas for the future of the Championship. For its part, the FIM explained its role, its endeavours and its determination to further develop not only Motocross but all the FIM disciplines with all the stakeholders involved and in accordance with the FIM Strategic plan.
The FIM agreed to continue to hold such meetings with representatives of all the Motocross Manufacturers and Teams in the future.
FIM President Vito Ippolito said: “Viewpoints may differ but we all have the same goal. Communication is the key element. Meetings like this one can only be beneficial for the Championship and strengthen the bonds between the different stakeholders.”
